Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed, to me:
I lift my lamp beside the golden door.

#148: Not a realistic portrayal, more's the pity

Matt: I'd like the key to room 101.

Matt: Oh, and I could use a couple more boxes of chalk, too, and some staples, a new laptop computer, and a pony. I have to give a tutorial.
Wilhelm: Here you go.

Matt: You aren't going to check my ID?
Wilhelm: No, we trust you. What course should I charge this to?

Matt: CS 489. Topics in Security: Social Engineering.

Nice... I find as long as I don't show up in a T-shirt, they'll give me pretty much anything I ask for....

It's good to know there's such a strong foundation of decency and trust out there. It gives one deep confidence in the fundamental goodness of humanity. Or something like that.
