The MMORPGazette link has been removed because they still haven't cleaned up their defacement. So much for that. Looking at the referrer logs, I see that we're getting a lot of traffic from I'm Just Drinking - and BoCon isn't even particularly prominently mentioned on there. I think what's happening is that because IJD got mentioned on Something Positive, there are suddenly huge numbers of people all over IJD, clicking through to every comic that has a drink listed at all. Maybe it also helps that we're early in the alphabetical list.

In other news, it turns out that the World's Most Valuable Patent has been released as freeware. Well, not actually a patent exactly, because the Patent Office has a very specific policy about machines of this type, but close enough, right?

Regulus: We heard you were trying to complete your set of Comics Code violations.
Centauri: We'd like to help with part A, item 8.
Matt: Well, that's very kind of--

Matt: Wait a minute.

Matt: Part A, item 8: "No unique or unusual methods of concealing weapons shall be shown."

Matt: I think I'll pass on that one, thanks.

So there's a new most valuable patent! I didn't think <a href="http://www.delphion.com/details?pn=US05443036__">#5443036</a> would be surpassed so soon. I thought its fame would be more enduring... perpetual, if you will.

Right. HTML.

(heavy sigh)

Okay, my name links to the patent this time.

Somebody patented shining a laser pointer on a wall to make cats act stupid? I have been doing that for over a decade, ever since I got my first laser pointer from a teacher that confiscated it from a student in elementary school.
